July 25, 2007 - Royal Philips Electronics recently displayed its Pinnacle3System 810 and Pinnacle3 Web Publishing, two new radiation oncology product offerings designed to increase workflow and operational efficiency, at the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) annual meeting in Minneapolis, MN.
The new Pinnacle3 System 810 is custom built for radiation oncology to significantly improve operational efficiency. Said t be approximately three to five times faster than previous platforms, System 810 may increase performance for the most intensive treatment planning functions. Designed to run with the Pinnacle3Workstation version 8.0h but also available for earlier Pinnacle3versions, System 810 began shipping in June 2007.
Further expanding the capabilities and offerings of the Pinnacle3 suite, Pinnacle3 Web Publishing allows radiation oncology plans to be reviewed and approved from anywhere in the world via a secure Internet connection. A work-in-progress, the innovative software solution provides a secure, paperless, web-based plan publishing system that improves workflow for dosimetrists, physicists and oncologists.
