November 21, 2007 - The Philips Step & Shoot Cardiac solution has reportedly been shown to save up to 80 percent of the dose in a cardiac exam. As the newest cardiac imaging innovation for the Philips Brilliance CT 64-channel scanner, it provides high quality CT images at low radiation dose. An axial prospective ECG-gated acquisition technique reportedly achieves full heart coverage within a short breath-hold. According to Philips, it is ideally suited for patients where low radiation dose is needed.
Brilliance Everywhere is a thin-client solution that reportedly delivers the full power of advanced applications such as those used in cardiac, vascular, stroke, colon and lung imaging to “any chair of your choice” such as an iSite PACS workstation, EBW CT workstation or even a connected PC at home.
With Brilliance Everywhere, 95 percent of what a CT scanner is used for can be shared and moved around the enterprise as needed to deliver a quick, confident diagnosis, according to its manufacturer.
