Lumitex Medical Devices has introduced a new generation of its patented VersaLight single-use surgical device.
The VersaLight is reportedly five times brighter, as well as cooler, stronger and less costly, than other lights. The new offering features improved suction, a new cable management system, and uniform, cool, shadowless light. Extra relief holes in the new VersaLight increase suction effectiveness and allow surgeons to wipe the tissue dry while preventing tissue grab. The surgeon can also choose between more or less suction with a finger-controlled aspiration hole. Using existing OR light sources, the VersaLight has a more uniform spot light, which improves visualization in deep cavity surgery, helping minimize blood loss and optimize navigation.
