February 15, 2008 – The Aurora Breast MRI Society Global PACS Teaching Tool, reportedly a first of its kind, allowing users to upload cases and images without disclosing private patient information, network with colleagues and obtain/exchange images digitally, was introduced at the Aurora Breast MRI Society Meeting in Newport Beach, CA.
Created to build an Internet-based community for Aurora Breast MRI Society healthcare professionals, the platform will allow members to share experiences and insights in order to improve patient care. The new PACS portal is expected to be available first quarter of 2008.
