October 21, 2008 - XMED Disposal Inc. is making available to medical industry facilities and medical waste generators its XMED Mail System to help solve the job of handling sharps and regulated medical waste.
Medical waste generators are facilities or businesses that generate and/or store medical waste onsite. These facilities include hospitals, outpatient centers, nursing homes, funeral homes, labs, tattoo parlors and hospices.
XMED’s new collection and disposal service properly disposes of biohazard waste and is available in various sizes to meet different needs.
With each initial order, XMED is providing an OSHA Medical Waste Manual to help customers comply with the sometime confusing regulations surrounding medical waste. This manual reportedly simplifies OSHA requirements for the prevention of exposure to blood-borne pathogens and features helpful record keeping recommendations and a compilation of generic forms and applications.
Waste is transported to the XMED Disposal Facility by the U.S. Postal Service, and complies with all federal regulations. The XMED Mail System can be used anywhere, and is purchased on an as-needed basis, with no contract required.
