Richardson Electronics released 2MP and 3MP LCDs as part of its Image Systems high bright color series, offering high brightness and contrast ratios, reportedly ideal for diagnostic imaging and clinical applications requiring a fusion of grayscale and color imaging, such as PET, 3D, cardiology and nuclear medicine.
Both displays emit a peak brightness of 600 cd/m2, which equates to a sustainable calibrated brightness of 450 - 500 cd/m2. The 2MP, 21.3-inch FP2202CHBP provides a contrast ratio of 500:1 and 1,200 by 1,600 standard resolution. The 3MP FP2080CHBP offers a 20.8-inch screen with a 600:1 contrast ratio and standard resolution of 2,048 by 1,536.
