The Dale Abdominal Binder is a fully adjustable post-operative support made from an all-elastic material, which allows total circumferential compression and lets the clinician control the pressure being applied to the abdomen. The company says it features a new EasyGrip Strip that can be quickly positioned anywhere on the binder for holding tubing and drainage bulbs, without pins or tape. This post-op abdominal binder has paneled construction to provide firm support.
Designed to allow a full range of motion, the Dale Abdominal Binder has a close stitch to prevent skin migration and only stretches in one direction to prevent riding, roping, and folding over. Encouraging activity, facilitating diaphragmatic breathing, and splinting the wound for coughing, this latex-free support reportedly moves with the patient to help increase their activity and decrease post-op complications such as atelectasis and pneumonia.
