Double Black Imaging will announce the new WIDE P-Series line of LCDs, sporting a 2MP monochrome and color, a 3MP monochrome and color and a 5MP monochrome LCD for mammography, all reportedly featuring higher brightness levels on each LCD. New perks include digital uniformity control, 12-Bit processing, a retractable front sensor for true DICOM calibration, a backlight sensor for luminance control and bonded protective panels.
The company is including its X-Cal Calibration software created for Automatic DICOM calibration and display quality assurance, with all WIDE �P� series LCD systems, allowing for both complete QA of their LCDs and front DICOM calibration. X-Cal consists of two components, a local agent package and a network administrative package, according to Double Black Imaging.
Paired with their displays, this software and hardware combination works to allows each display to be remotely calibrated to the DICOM grayscale display function and monitored from a central workstation, send notifications to the central workstation or administrator when the LCD requires service and allow the administrator to adjust and perform DICOM 3.14 calibration on each LCD from the remote location.
