November 30, 2007 - The Temperature Product Group of Measurement Specialties (MEAS) offers a new range of miniature radial and axial thermistors, hermetically sealed devices for air-flow and liquid-flow sensing applications.
The thermisters offer high stability over temperature ranges not normally associated with NTC Thermistors, operating between -50°C to 250°C. The company says the glass seal provides a high degree of protection from severe environmental exposures such as high humidity applications.
With a minimum packaged thermistor size of 0.4mm (0.02 inch), these miniaturized sensors also exhibit a rapid time response of less than 0.2 seconds in liquids. This makes them ideal for applications, which demand a rapid time/temperature response such as blood analysis, platen temperature sensing, and medical catheter devices.
