Jan. 21, 2013 – MIM Software Inc. announced today that Stereotactic Surface Projection images (SSP) have been added to the quantitative analysis tools for amyloid PET in the new version 5.6 of MIMneuro.
SSPs provide for a quick way of gathering an overall assessment of the gray matter uptake in an image by projecting the tracer activity in the gray matter to the surface of the brain. The SSP images are linked to the image slices so that an area of concern highlighted in the SSP image can also be identified in the traditional image slices. Statistically significant differences in tracer uptake from a database of healthy controls can be highlighted.
MIMneuro 5.6 combines SSPs with existing tools for statistical comparisons – including voxel-based analysis, region-based analysis, SUVR computation and cluster analysis – into a comprehensive quantitative functional neuroimaging software.
Qualified existing MIMneuro users can upgrade to version 5.6 now.
