MedQuist Inc.’s SpeechQ for Radiology, an interactive front-end speech recognition application, is now integrated with RadWorkFlow, a workflow solution from Inland Imaging LLC.
RadWorkFlow offers an efficient, simplified and consolidated view into multisite, multisystem reading environments.
RadWorkFlow is designed to accelerate and track radiology studies from time-of-order through interpretation, allowing organizations access to critical operational data. RadWorkFlow accepts studies and data from multiple RIS and PACS, and logically queues those studies to the appropriate radiologist for interpretation based on site-defined rules, according to MedQuiest. STAT orders are accelerated through the queue, and the issue of “lost” studies is eliminated.
For those radiologists who support multiple facilities and often have to access patient images in different PACS, RadWorkFlow provides a single view of the studies awaiting their interpretation across this environment. This streamlines the radiologists’ workflow, aiming to deliver improved efficiencies and results. When used in combination with SpeechQ, the radiologists’ report turnaround time is reportedly significantly reduced (as the speech recognized report is immediately reviewed and signed by the radiologist, and then routed through RadWorkFlow back to the requesting organization and physician).
