December 29, 2008 - MEDISON Co. won the “Good Design Awards 2008” award (KIDP Director’s Prize) for its new ultrasound system, ACCUVIX V20.
The award, which is given by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and managed by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), is given to a product that is considered competitive and has been instrumental in the expansion of exports through the development of creative and excellent product design. According to MEDISON, ACCUVIX V20 is the first medical device to win the award of excellence in the final selection since the first Good Design selection in 1985.
ACCUVIX V20 is an ultrasound system that provides image quality with high-resolution 2D,3D/4D technology and performance. Developed with ergonomic design as the main focus, it has a 10.4-inch LCD touch screen in the front panel for fast and easy diagnosis and to enable the intuitive control of various menus by the user. The control panel for operating the ultrasound system precisely is designed to rotate according to the angle of the wrist. The monitor showing the ultrasound image moves freely with the articulated arm to allow even lying patient to see the monitor conveniently.
