February 7, 2008- McGraw-Hill Higher Education said today it is publishing a new textbook “Electronic Health Records,” (Hamilton) to educate medical personnel on EHRs and has partnered with Spring Medical Systems, the creator of the SpringCharts EHR system, to provide fully functional demo software offering hands-on patient care learning experience.
The book was written by Byron and Leesa Hamilton of the Med-Soft National Training Institute. It provides theoretical content and introductory software, as well as an advanced training program and illustrated training details, such as visual screen captures and menu icons from the SpringCharts EHR software included in the package. Certificates of completion of the training program are available through McGraw-Hill Higher Education’s Online Learning Center. The textbook content also correlates with the certification criteria of the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT).
