March 5, 2008 - Broadwest is showcasing all three models of Mammomask, including the MM4, MM8 and MM12, redesigned to yield uniform viewing surfaces and a high luminance, at NCBC 2008.
The units reportedly measure within a 5 to 10 percent variation (DIN6856 standard) to provide homogeneous viewing conditions for each film whether it is read in the center or at the periphery.
The MM12 accommodates two tiers of both size mammo film with fully collimating shutters, a dimmer to match the light level with film density and a glass viewing surface to avoid the scratches which appear with plastic, according to the company.
