The syngo MammoCAD was created for full-field digital mammography and the detection of masses and microcalcifications to help radiologists detect breast cancer in its earliest and most treatable form. The system reportedly provides low rates of false positive marks with up to 40 percent of normal cases having no false positive detections at all.
The device generates CAD marks to highlight suspicious areas in the mammogram, such as masses and microcalcifications. The CAD tool is reportedly designed for excellent workflow efficiency. With an average of less than 60 seconds processing time per set of four images, syngo MammoCAD is optimized for high volume throughput. The product is integrated with the syngo CAD Manager, a Siemens CAD server solution.
