Fully functional cloud-based PACS, imaging archives, depots and mirrors added to Intelerad’s hosted offerings

June 12, 2013 — Intelerad Medical Systems announced three new offerings as part of their Nuage suite of cloud-based solutions. Amongst the new solutions is CloudComplete — a fully-featured, cloud-based version of their award-winning IntelePACS solution. Other solutions added to the suite include CloudStore, which enables imaging departments to move all long-term storage to the cloud; and CloudMirror, which offers the flexibility of an off-site hosted data replication service.

“Our goal with the Nuage suite is to help customers grow in an easy and flexible way, regardless of any constraints they may have regarding CapEx or IT resources,” said Randall Oka, Intelerad’s president and CEO. “By deploying our cloud-based solutions to manage their images, customers will no longer face the challenges related to replacing or expanding their IT architecture, while gaining additional benefits such as reduced exposure to significant data risks.”

Intelerad’s cloud-based solutions are built on their Nuage Cloud Imaging Platform, an integrated stack of multiple tier-3 data centers, hosted IntelePACS back-end capabilities, professional services and support that is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The solutions offer a pay-as-you-grow model that scales operating expenses with storage requirements, for cost-effective growth and data protection.

Intelerad’s Nuage suite also offers resilient data protection, as customers’ image archives are safely managed and proactively monitored by Intelerad’s imaging workflow experts. With data replicated at redundant data centers located in different U.S. states, Intelerad’s Nuage solutions protect against risks of physical disaster and provide truly-protected high availability of their picture archive and communications system (PACS).

“Intelerad’s Nuage solutions are designed to effectively resolve common anxieties about storage expansion, data protection and business continuity,” said Oka. “By doing so, organizations can better focus on strategically expanding their business and deliver the highest levels of patient care.”
