August 15, 2008 -INFINITT North America has developed a Tele-RIS module that enables radiology reading services to provide advanced hosting capabilities to their referring customers.

The INFINITT TeleRIS module was developed to meet the needs of a large radiology reading service in Texas where fellowship-trained radiologists read images from 23 different imaging facilities. The service had previously needed to log in to a separate system for each facility, but now archives the images, orders, technologist notes and patient information so that all are accessible from a single workstation/viewer.

By using INFINITT as a technology partner, the reading service has improved workflow and increased revenues while referring physicians have experienced shortened turnaround times and better access to reports and images, according to the company. The TeleRIS module has also facilitated the reading service and the referral site in transitioning to filmless and paperless environments.
