February 15, 2008 - Carestream Molecular Imaging debuted the Kodak X-Sight large stokes shift dye conjugates created for fluorescent in vitro and in vivo imaging applications, and are available conjugated to a range of secondary antibodies in two excitation and emission wavelengths in the near infrared range.
The dye conjugates are ideally used for western blotting applications, which use gel electrophoresis to separate proteins from a sample of cell or tissue based on molecular weight and size and microscopy, according to the company. To reduce cross reactivity, the secondary antibodies have reportedly been affinity purified and highly cross-adsorbed.
The imaging agents are also compatible with other commercially available digital imaging systems.
