December 20, 2007 – Emdeon Business Services said today it acquired IXT Solutions, maker of patient billing and payment solutions, adding the online patient billing system eCashiering return mail management and lockbox services to Emdeon’s existing suite of patient billing and payment solutions.
These new services extend Emdeon’s leadership position in provider revenue cycle solutions. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Emdeon’s extensive health information network processes nearly four billion transactions annually on behalf of its payer, provider and vendor customers.
Emdeon Business Services provides revenue cycle management and clinical communication solutions that enables payers, providers and patients to improve healthcare business processes.
