Eizo Nanao Corp. introduced the largest monitor in its RadiForce series, the 30-inch RadiForce RS410, which boasts a screen size and native resolution of 4 megapixels and a 16:10 widescreen format — equal to a pair of 2-megapixel monitors in portrait mode, but without the bezels.
Eizo’s Digital Uniformity Equalizer function offers stable, consistent brightness from corner to corner. A dual-link input function achieves a clock frequency of 60 Hz, allowing frame synchronization between the computer and the monitor, which reproduces a moving picture without any dropping of frames. This is necessary to achieve uninterrupted 3-D image rendering, the company said. A calibration switch function with various modes for different modalities, such as CR, CT and endoscopy, is included.
ScreenManager Pro for Medical includes additional functions such as Independent Image Setting, which allows for any specific area of an image to be adjusted and preset to various grayscale gradations and luminance levels. A backlight saver function turns the monitor’s secondary power off when a screensaver is activated and back on again when the screen comes out of screensaver mode for reduced power consumption during prolonged usage.
