February 21, 2012 — Dicom Systems is demonstrating the new version of its ArcStore diagnostic imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) vendor-neutral archive (VNA) at the 2012 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting in Las Vegas, Nev.
Dicom Systems recently introduced VNA 2.0, which works with any existing hardware and gives healthcare enterprises the capacity to turn their current storage to their picture archive and communications system (PACS) archive at any time. This is possible through the use of Dicom System's DICOM and HL7 router - a teleradiology gateway that connects everything together in an efficient and cost-effective way.
DCMSYS VNA includes industry standard compression of incoming studies, selective deletion/rotation of studies based on rules, DICOM pre/post filtering, routing and archiving, self-recoverable database architecture (with DICOM engine for image archiving and management) and dynamic retention policy based on the DICOM router's rules.
