DePuy Spine Inc. has announced the formation of the Centers for Arthroplasty Research and Education in Spine (CARES), to document clinical outcomes, further education and research and help to improve insurance coverage and reimbursement for artificial disc replacement.
The CARES program includes the first-ever spine arthroplasty registry that will track clinical and economic outcomes of patients receiving the CHARITÉ Artificial Disc and other disc replacements. A steering committee composed of leading spine surgeons will oversee data collection and coordinate publication of the data.
