April 12, 2011 – The time spent on verifying the accuracy of a localized radiation treatment system should never be a hindrance to the delivery of quality treatment. The ISO Cube Daily QA Phantom, by CIRS, is an economical, accurate and easy-to-use means of performing daily system checks.
The device tests radiation isocenter alignment between the lasers, light field and image guidance systems, verifying all of the imaging, localization and targeting systems are aligned with the true radiation isocenter. Its features include unique shell fiducials (center and offset) that produce sharp clear images in EPID, kV and CBCT imaging. In addition, laser alignment, light field size verification, kV and MV imager coincidence (2-D/2-D matching), CBCT process accuracy, ODI accuracy, couch correction, table height accuracy and light field/radiation field coincidence can be established in only one session.
Target positioning through imaging guidance is critical for the accurate delivery of radiation treatment. The cube provides a cost-competitive, quick and accurate solution.
