February 16, 2010 — A diagnostic imaging solution provider has reached a major milestone with 130 Opal-CR units sales since introducing the product in September.
Regional dealer, American X-Ray, helped Viztek reach this figure by closing five CR system sales during the past month.
Throughout the previous five months, Opal-CR has been deployed in a wide range of facilities, from smaller practices converting to digital by replacing film-based cassettes and medium-sized facilities replacing dated CR systems to large orthopedic facilities purchasing CR in conjunction with DR to back-up their main radiology rooms.
Opal-CR’s features and functionality have proven to rival top competitors in the marketplace, producing 56 plates per hour, with high image quality, and features like auto-stitching on the acquisition software.
Viztek channel partner American X-Ray Corp of Louisville, Tenn., has been providing radiology solutions for over 30 years. With the company’s specialization in the private practice market, the Opal-CR and Mini-PACS bundle is a perfect fit, said Danny Huffaker, American X-Ray chief operating officer. “The Opal-CR is truly a great fit for our channel; it offers a high quality of imaging but comes with an affordable price tag that make it the ideal solution for a practice to convert to digital.”
“The past five months have been extremely successful for Viztek and our new Opal-CR,” said Steve Deaton, vice president of sales. “The CR units are being deployed at a steady pace, and the feedback is very positive. American X-Ray’s prime market is a great example of how CR and mini-PACS is deployed for a complete digital solution. We look forward to its continued success in 2010.”
