Kirwan Surgical Products has introduced the 70-watt irrigating bipolar electrosurgical coagulator, the AURA Plus.
One key feature is the LCD touchscreen, which can be intensified or reduced for optimal viewing. The accommodating touchpad controls allow the user to easily adjust settings. The output level is displayed in both watts and Malis units with power settings ranging from 0 to 70 watts. The footswitch is capable of controlling power only, irrigation only or both power and irrigation. This unit also has a peristaltic irrigation pump with an adjustable flow rate ranging from 0 to 50 cc’s per minute, and the stand is conveniently located on the back of the unit for holding the irrigation bag.
