January 30, 2008 - Shepard Medical Products yesterday announced its new blog Web site CareMates Infection Protection, an online public health news service underwritten by Shepard Medical and their CareMates brand.
The blog can be accessed at www.care-mates.com/Blog/. The blog was created as a resource to healthcare professionals, health media, and the general public for the latest international news and original articles on communicable and infectious diseases.
The publisher of Infection Protection is Chris Wright, a health industry executive who has a number of healthcare inventions and patents to his credit. Editorial director and editor is Gene Koprowski, a journalist who has covered health care for 20 years, and was a winner of the National Institutes of Health Medicine in the Media Fellowship at Dartmouth College in 2006. Correspondents on the blog site include Toronto health journalist Sridhar Nadamuni.
