August 30, 2007 – Cardinal Health announced a three-year agreement with Cosmetrex, a group purchasing organization uniquely focused on cosmetic surgeons and their practices, to provide custom procedure packs and surgical apparel to cosmetic surgeons and outpatient surgery centers in the U.S.
Under the agreement, Cardinal Health will manufacture and distribute to Cosmetrex members its line of Convertors infection control products including drapes, gowns, facial protection, caps and shoe covers, as well as its Rechargeable Surgical Clipper System. Cardinal Health will also manufacture and distribute to Cosmetrex members its Presource custom and standard procedure packs, including Presource Cosmetic Surgery Packs, which were introduced earlier this year.
The agreement is an extension of Cardinal Health’s existing medical-surgical supply distribution relationship with Cosmetrex, and comes just one month after Cardinal Health announced the launch of Presource Cosmetic Surgery Packs. The prepackaged kits provide the core surgical components needed for common cosmetic surgery procedures including liposuction, abdominoplasty, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, facial rhytidectomy, breast augmentation, breast reduction and breast lift.
