Capintec and Numa, Inc. announced today that they have signed an agreement where Numa will develop an application for the digital reporting and communication of Captus 3000 Thyroid Update Systems exams, as part of a network that integrates patient exam data with RIS and PACS.
Numa will develop a digital application for Capintec's system, which measures thyroid iodine uptake and is based on an iodine-based radionuclide. The system will be integrated into a thyroid device that will create a complete DICOM record for each patient exam, including demographics and a secondary screen capture of the alphanumeric exam data. Once the study is completed, the application will export a summary of the test results. The solutions will interface with RIS and PACS and query the DICOM worklist provider to populate the Captus report with patient demographics. Patient DICOM files can be viewed on DICOM nuclear medicine or PACS workstations.
