After a three-year break, this spring featured the return of the anticipated Canon Roadshow Events, hosted by Canon U.S.A., Inc. for top dealer sales contributors and solutions analysts

August 11, 2022 — After a three-year break, this spring featured the return of the anticipated Canon Roadshow Events, hosted by Canon U.S.A., Inc. for top dealer sales contributors and solutions analysts.

The 2022 Canon Roadshow included five live events throughout May and June in the areas of Chicago, Irvine, Dallas, Atlanta, and Princeton, NJ. In attendance were 365 people across 99 dealer partners.

The shows offered educational sessions for dealers’ sales and technical staff while also affording media and analysts the opportunity to learn about Canon’s plans for continuing to support the evolving work environment.
A key theme was how to address customer needs in a variety of workstyles that include in-office, fully remote, or a hybrid environment that includes both. Canon showcased how the products and solutions it offers are designed to simplify both the end-user and IT managers experience, help users control sensitive information and print costs across a variety of locations, and evolve with changing customer needs.

The Canon Roadshow series consisted of two learning tracks - SalesNET and TechNET. In the SalesNet track, sales managers and top sales representatives participated in interactive sessions that included job shops, games, and demo contests. Topics included key solutions and business areas like uniFLOW Online, the award-winning cloud output management solution, large format printers, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX family of products, and solutions for vertical markets. In TechNet, solutions analysts received hands-on training where they had the opportunity to perform set-up and implementation of key solutions from start to finish. Key topics included uniFLOW Online, Iris PowerScan, and Canon’s service and support tools.

The evening event included a New Business Showcase where Canon highlighted several new areas of business that will be available to dealers. Specialty printers were also on display, consisting of a lineup of ID card/badge printers, label printers and wire/cable marker printers. The showcase also included Whiz (for which Canon is an authorized reseller), a commercial robot vacuum sweeper which works to automate floor cleaning across multiple environments which can help ease the burdens of ongoing labor shortage. Also on display was Canon’s AMLOS (Activate My Line of Sight) solution that is currently in development. The AMLOS system is being designed to help redefine how people see, engage, and interact in hybrid office environments using a single camera in a meeting space and along with a user interface that can be accessed by remote participants through a web browser.

“We are pleased with the response of the return of the Canon Roadshow series and the ability to have in-person events again with our dealers for the first time since 2019,” said Karin Harrington, Canon U.S.A.’s senior director of dealer sales division. “These events provide the ability to offer demonstrations, answer questions and solicit feedback from our dealers, and is a key part to strengthening our relationships even further.”
