July 30, 2009 - Aurora Imaging will show at the Breast Imaging Conference, held Sept. 15-17, in Glendale, Ariz., the new AuroraEDGE technology is designed to improve image resolution and eliminate common breast MRI artifacts for crystal clear images of both breasts, axillae, chest wall and mediastinum in a single, 3D bilateral scan.
The pulse sequence and image acquisition system used in AuroraEDGE technology is said to minimize the effect of common cardiac motion on the images. The new acquisition efficiency of AuroraEDGE is used to oversample for a larger field-of-view to avoid aliasing.
AuroraEDGE Image specifications are:
• 3D Image Resolution 512x512, 250 slices
• 0.7 mm slice thickness, no gap between slices
• Offers isotropic true 0.7mm resolution in all 3 planes
• Post-contrast time points obtained at 90-seconds, 4.5-minutes, 7.5-minutes, and 10.5-minutes
