April 21, 2008- BoundaryMedical Inc.’s new Outcome Enterprise Study Manager for measuring outcomes relating to orthopedic treatments is a software-as-a-service (SaaS), designed to allow users to collect and manage clinical data over the Internet efficiently and affordably.

Outcome Enterprise Study Manager is available for a single activation fee and monthly subscription fees. Using Outcome Enterprise Study Manager, a clinician can reportedly begin tracking outcomes or initiate a research study in less than an hour. A user can design an outcomes program or study by working through the system’s intuitive interface, specifying electronic data capture (EDC) needs and other parameters. Because it contains reference libraries of orthopedic-specific content, Case Report Forms (CRF) are quickly created. Also included are libraries of general health surveys like the SF12TM, disease-specific instruments like Oswestry and WOMAC and other measurement tools such as certain Visual Analog Scores (VAS). Users may also add their own clinical measures.
