July 28, 2008 - Bionix Radiation Therapy featured the Bionix Comfort Hold Thigh and Foot Positioner, its newest product in the line of comfortable patient positioning device, at AAPM.
The Comfort Hold Thigh Positioner is built with foam for increased patient comfort, consists of a dual channel riser to support the legs at a 115o bend at the knee and has a 3-inch riser for additional height.
The Comfort Hold Foot Positioner has foam lined foot cups for added comfort and has multiple positioning holes to allow the foot plate to move anterior or posterior to the patient in the supine position. The vertical foot plate has an option of 5o slightly forward or outward at 22.5o, plus two options for height adjustments and a straight or a splayed angle at 20o for the feet.
As a system, the two independent pieces have the ability to be connected together by aligning two posts into the provided holes at the base. Once combined, the system works together, providing a combination of 16 different possible configurations.
With each purchase of this system, Bionix is donating a portion of the proceeds to prostate cancer research.
