Nio Color 3MP
May 29, 2009 – Barco announced that its new diagnostic display system with high-bright LCD panel, Nio Color 3MP, is now shipping and will be on display at this year’s SIIM Annual Meeting, June 4 -7, 2009, in Charlotte, N.C.
The new display recently also obtained 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration, making it available for commercial distribution in the U.S.
The new version of the Nio Color 3MP builds upon the proven benefits of the previous model, but now features a high-bright LCD panel that provides a calibrated luminance of 400 cd/m² throughout its entire life time. Combined with outstanding color accuracy, it makes the display perfectly suited for applications that take advantage of color, including PET imaging, fMRI, perfusion, spectroscopy and CAD. Another innovation is the built-in system for uniformity correction. Thanks to this feature, luminance is spread evenly over the full screen surface, which enhances diagnostic precision and facilitates compliance with regional QA standards.
Nio Color 3MP is supplied with Barco’s user-friendly MediCal QAWeb service for DICOM calibration, Quality Assurance (QA) and asset management. The free ‘Essential’ level of this service allows you to easily change QA policies (e.g. white luminance) and perform remote calibration. Upgrading to the ‘Premium’ service level provides many additional remote capabilities including full remote QA, extended notifications and reports.
Just like all other Barco diagnostic displays, the Nio Color 3MP comes standard with a five-year warranty.
