Cybersecurity offerings include managed security services, cloud security and identity management

Atos Launches First Comprehensive Cybersecurity Portfolio for Healthcare Organizations

February 11, 2019 — Information technology (IT) services provider Atos announced the launch of its first comprehensive cybersecurity solution for today's healthcare market. The full offering extends from security consulting services to now including managed security services, cloud security and identity management, increasing security at all levels of patient care.

Recent studies show more than 5.1 million individuals in 2017 were impacted by security incidents, and more than 80 percent of U.S. hospitals do not have a qualified security officer to resolve these issues.

To meet the growing threat, Atos works with almost 300 healthcare organizations across the U.S. to evaluate their strategy against cyber threats, modernize technology foundations and secure valuable patient data. Atos' full cybersecurity offering now includes three security services in addition to its consulting services:

  • Managed Security Services – Ranked fifth largest managed security provider worldwide by Gartner based on 2017 revenue estimates1, Atos' managed security services implement security incident and event management, security operations, endpoint threat prevention and advanced threat detection for healthcare organizations.
  • Cloud Security – With more and more patient data and healthcare processes moving to the cloud, it is essential that such data be protected to the highest standard. Atos Cloud Security offers data loss prevention, encryption and cloud access security broker services to help healthcare organizations secure their cloud ecosystems.
  • Identity Management – Identity management enables health organizations to secure patient information by controlling and auditing access to confidential data through biometrics, two-factor and public key infrastructure (PKI) authentication, as well as other various authentication methods.

The healthcare security offering is an expansion of Atos' Digital Health Solutions portfolio to help payers, providers, pharmaceutical and life science companies enhance the technical efficiency of healthcare delivery.

The company’s full portfolio of cybersecurity healthcare solutions will showcase at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2019 annual conference, Feb. 11-15 in Orlando, Fla.
