August 12, 2008 - Swissray International Inc. today announced a three-year dual-source contract with Adventist Health System that will provide Swissray’s digital radiography systems to Adventist Health System members.

Swissray’s latest digital radiography system received the Frost & Sullivan 2008 "Single Detector Digital Radiography Product Innovation of the Year" award. This technology reportedly provides the highest quality medical radiographic images in seconds at a significantly lower cost and radiation dose than conventional or computed radiography because, among other factors, film, imaging plates, cassettes and chemical processing are not required. All of Swissray's DR systems include fully automated, remote controlled system positioning with its unique APS - Automated Positioning System.

Adventist Health System organizations provide 37 hospitals totaling more than 6,000 licensed beds, care for nearly four million patients each year in inpatient, outpatient and emergency room visits, and employ almost 43,000 members of their communities in full and part-time positions.
