Volpara Solutions Inc. will showcase its latest artificial intelligence (AI) updates at the 104th Annual Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) meeting, Nov. 25–30 in Chicago. Its suite of cloud-based quantitative breast imaging analysis tools is designed to help maintain consistent quality in breast screening.
Volpara Solutions announced that the data stored in the Volpara Enterprise cloud now exceeds 1 million mammographic studies. Analysis of this anonymized big data, reflecting the state of mammography in 2018, helps mammography providers achieve improved mammographic sensitivity and detect breast cancers at an earlier stage. It also helps breast imaging centers better understand how their image quality compares to that of other facilities and how to improve their mammograms going forward.
Invision Diagnostics, a provider of mobile mammography services across North and South Carolina, announced that it is the first dedicated mobile mammography provider to adopt VolparaEnterprise software to help deliver high-quality, personalized breast cancer screening. Invision Diagnostics performs over 8,000 mammograms annually in three advanced mobile mammography coaches in Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh, and other locations throughout the Southeast.
Volpara Solutions Inc. and mammography education provider Mammography Educators LLC announced the launch of training videos designed to make mammography positioning better. The training videos have been integrated in Volpara’s VolparaEnterprise software that provides a comprehensive assessment of image quality on every screening mammogram.
The importance of quantitative analysis in breast imaging was the focus of numerous abstracts accepted for presentation at the 103rd Annual Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) meeting, Nov. 26-Dec. 1 in Chicago. Four abstracts highlighted the use of Volpara Solutions' quantitative analysis tools for breast imaging. The tools provide actionable quantitative metrics for clinicians, including volumetric density, personalized dose, potential high risk, and other factors designed to maintain accuracy and drive consistent quality in breast screening.
Volpara Solutions will introduce VolparaEnterprise Live!, a mammography quality control tool, at the 2016 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting, Nov. 26-Dec. 1 in Chicago. VolparaEnterprise Live! provides the technologist with real-time, quality feedback at the gantry. It calculates the patient positioning score, dose and compression pressure for each image within 30 seconds of acquisition.
Patient X-ray radiation exposure from medical imaging has been a hot topic in radiology and has prompted the implementation of radiation dose monitoring systems. Prior to these systems, dose measurements either were not tracked or required manual calculation of dose based on scanner data in the DICOM headers.
Volpara Solutions Inc. will showcase its new Volpara Enterprise DDP software at the Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA)'s 45th Annual Meeting and Exposition, July 9-12, in Anaheim, Calif. The VolparaEnterprise Clinical Applications software package offers access to VolparaDensity, VolparaDose and VolparaPressure, in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) subscription model for the first time. Volpara Solutions will showcase its entire suite of quantitative breast imaging tools, which allow for personalized measurements of volumetric breast density, patient dose, breast compression and other factors designed to help maintain accuracy and consistent quality in breast screening.
Parascript LLC announced a new partnership with Volpara Solutions, creator of Volpara Density automated breast density assessment software. Independent research has associated an increased risk of cancer for patients with high breast density, which can also make cancer harder to detect on conventional mammograms. Together, Parascript AccuDetect CAD (computer-aided detection) and VolparaDensity provide complementary early cancer detection solutions.
Volpara Solutions announced the European launch of Volpara Enterprise 2.0 software, which helps breast imaging facilities deliver high-quality, personalized breast screening. The software was launched at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) meeting, March 1-5, 2017, in Vienna, Austria.
