More than 55 companies displayed their latest products and services at the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) 25th Annual Scientific Sessions June 20-24 in Portland, Ore. The meeting is the largest for cardiovascular ultrasound. Highlights from the show floor included:
Digisonics (Booth #211) will showcase its Enterprise PACS and Structured Reporting Solutions for all imaging study types at this year’s Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) Annual Meeting in Long Beach, Calif.
Today’s digital picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) is highlighted with several choice words around the industry: accessible, flexible, Web-based, thin client versus thick client and vendor-neutral. Whatever term is used to describe the PACS of today and the future, one thing is clear: the aim now is to be able to store medical images, sourced from any modality, in a secure location on a network and retrieve them for review from any platform or any device.
Digisonics showcased OB 4.8for its OB/GYN PACS and structured reporting system at the 2014 Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Annual Meeting in New Orleans, La. The Digisonics system is standards-based and vendor-neutral, combining DICOM image review, structured reporting, an integrated clinical database and PACS image archive into one solution for OB/GYN studies.
Digisonics will showcase WebView 4.0, an easy-to-use application for fast review of patient images and reports of all modalities from any HTML5-capable Web browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, etc.) or operating system including Windows, Mac, iPad and tablets, at the Radiological Society of North America 2013 Annual Meeting (RSNA 2013).
Digisonics Inc. introduced functionality for appropriate use criteria (AUC) calculations. Digisonics recognizes that reimbursement audits will be tied to appropriate use scores in the future, benefitting facilities that utilize the Digisonics CVIS (cardiovascular imaging and information systems) to monitor appropriate use scores and produce the required structured reports.
Healthcare reform requiring wider access and enterprise sharing of patient images and records are making Web-based cardiology picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) a more attractive solution over traditional thick-client, server-based systems. In just the past few years there has been a departure from thick-client cardiology and radiology PACS to Web-based platforms. There are several reasons for this, including better interoperability, anywhere-anytime access, remote access to data and images, and reduction of IT burdens. Web-based systems also enable easier delivery of many healthcare reform Stage 2 meaningful use (MU) requirements.
Digisonics will exhibit its No. 1 KLAS rated cardiology picture archive and communications system (PACS) and structured reporting solutions at this year’s American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) Scientific Sessions in Minneapolis, Minn.
More than 54 companies will display their latest products and services at the American Society of Echocardiography’s (ASE) 24th Annual Scientific Sessions, planned for June 29-July 2 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minn. This year, the conference theme is “a disease-based focus on the role of echocardiography in diagnosis and guiding therapy”.
Digisonics will exhibit its Enterprise PACS and structured reporting solutions for cardiology, OB/GYN, radiology and general ultrasound studies at this year’s Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) Annual Meeting.
