Accu-Tatt is an easy-to-use, sterile, all inclusive tattooing device designed to permanently mark radiation therapy patients. Every Accu-Tatt pouch conveniently contains an ink ampoule and a ¾-inch, 22-gauge needle. Packaging the needle and ampoule in a sterilized pouch reduces the concern for contamination and cross-contamination within radiation therapy facilities. In addition, Accu-Tatt’s short needle length allows for increased control while tattooing the patient. The Accu-Tatt shell contains an ampoule filled with sterile black ink. To start the flow of ink, hold the ampoule upright in one hand and use the thumb to bend the shell, breaking the ampoule. The end of the ampoule houses a luer lock fitting to accommodate the prepackaged, sterilized hypodermic needle.

Radiotherapy (RT) as a way to treat cancer is growing as a field, now that its accuracy has been improving. One reason for this improved precision has to do with patient positioning equipment and how the patient is immobilized during the treatment itself. By making sure the patient is always in the same position over multiple radiation treatments and that the patient stays comfortable enough not to shift during treatment, RT has been growing as a successful, accurate and fiscally sound way to treat cancer.
September 28, 2011 – Bionix Radiation Therapy announces the addition of Breath Hold, an interactive breath-hold control monitoring system from MedSpira, as an accessory to its Omni V Patient Positioning System. Developed by Mayo Clinic physicians, Breath Hold is a user-friendly system that enables patients to easily and consistently reproduce a breath-hold reference point consistent breathing pattern. This consistency is a significant benefit, ideal for stereotactic radiation therapy procedures involving the lungs and upper abdomen.
October 8, 2009 - October 8th, 2009 - Bionix Radiation Therapy offers three new positioning products, including a full body positioning device for Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT).
The Prone Breast System and Pelvis/Belly PLUS System from Bionix both feature the T-Form Multi-Treatment Base that indexes to most treatment couchtops. The T-Form base provides similar attenuation factors to carbon fiber and has an overall lighter weight.
The SBRT System by Bionix encompasses the true nature of SBRT with comfortable positioning, respiratory motion considerations and fewer equipment components to manage. Additionally, the system will feature a radiolucent indexing base that can be quickly and easily locked on to most treatment couches while maximizing overall patient comfort and positioning.
The Bionix Comfort Hold Thigh and Foot Positioner was designed to minimize pelvic rotation and tilt with the patient’s comfort in mind. Controlling the pelvic movement will reduce prostate motion thus making treatment planning more accurate. The Comfort Hold Thigh Positioner aims for a comfortable leg position and consists of dual channels to support the legs at a 115O bend at the knee.
June 18, 2009 - Bionix Radiation Therapy announces the arrival of the SecureVac VersaCushion is designed to increase reproducibility, maximizes patient comfort, and is considered a complex billing device.
May 12, 2009 – Bionix Radiation Therapy now offers another option for the positioning of the head and shoulders with the new Head & Shoulder MoldCare (HSMC).
The new Bionix HSMC provides facilities with a new complex positioning device for use during conformal irradiation as well as stereotactic and IMRT treatment sessions.
