December 14, 2009 - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted 510(k) clearance for a lesion-localization system for molecular imaging biopsy guidance.

Sectra featured at RSNA 2009 its latest release of Sectra PACS with RapidConnect technology. December 11, 2009 – At this year’s Radiology Society of America (RSNA) annual meeting last week, GE Healthcare, presented the new Innova dose-efficient X-ray technology to reduce patient radiation exposure.

At RSNA 2009 Philips Healthcare featured the new Precedence SPECT/CT system, which unites high-end, multislice CT with a flexible gamma camera. The gamma camera is designed for functional and molecular imaging that can aid diagnosis and treatment in cardiology and oncology.

At RSNA 2009, Sectra showcased its digital mammography solution, Sectra MicroDose Mammography, featuring further enhanced performance for high-volume screening. Sectra customers perform as many as 15, four-image examinations per hour. With a fast detector, the system allows for an even higher productivity if needed.
