GE Healthcare’s Signa Pioneer, a new 510(k) pending 3T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system, offers a unique feature where it can create six imaging protocols from a single scan. The vendor said this will greatly reduce the amount of time required to image patients and enable an additional patient per hour to be scanned.

Agfa HealthCare announced it has converged its ICIS and IMPAX Agility brands into a single platform called Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging. The new platform allows any physician, across the department, hospital or regional network to create, collaborate on, exchange, view and manage a comprehensive medical imaging record throughout the patient's care, with the ability to integrate with an electronic health record (EHR).

Teledyne DALSA introduced four new dynamic detectors at the RSNA 2014 Technical Exhibition, Nov. 30-Dec. 4 in Chicago. The new models complete the Xineos family of real-time, low-dose CMOS flat X-ray detectors, featuring fields-of-view of 20x22 cm, 22x22 cm and 30x30 cm. Xineos detectors are targeted at interventional procedures, positioned to replace TFT flat detectors and image intensifiers of up to 12 inches in size.
