Private clinic pursues increased productivity and excellent image quality to improve patient satisfaction and the delivery of care

MedRay Imaging Selects Agfa HealthCare DX-D 300 U-Arm for Digital Radiography

October 30, 2017 — MedRay Imaging, a private imaging clinic in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, recently turned to Agfa HealthCare to advance its value-based care initiative by delivering the benefits of direct (digital) radiography (DR). This development supports the clinic's mission to optimize the experience and care of patients, provide a smooth, efficient workflow for clinicians, and enhance the hospital's productivity by making processes more efficient.

MedRay Imaging recently installed two DX-D 300, fully automated, compact and versatile U-Arm DR systems. Like all of Agfa's DR technologies, the DX-D 300 features third-generation MUSICA image processing, an intelligent and automated solution providing consistently high-quality images while saving both time and effort, according to the company.

In 2016, MedRay Imaging set out to find an equipment partner that not only provided high-quality imaging and user-friendly software, but also provided exceptional service level response rates and low downtime. After an extensive vendor review culminating in a visit to the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting,, MedRay selected Agfa HealthCare.

"Our goal is to increase productivity while continually working toward our mission to provide exceptional, value-based care," said Randy Webster, chief operating officer of MedRay Imaging. "MedRay Imaging has proudly served Vancouver and the Lower Mainland of British Columbia since 1981. Our top priority continues to be quality, safety and patient satisfaction. It is critical for us to invest in technology, as innovation will allow us to offer the best care to our patients."
