October 26, 2017 — medQ Inc., provider of enterprise imaging workflow solutions, announced their collaboration with Advanced Medical Imaging of Lincoln, Neb., to customize the front end of AMI’s Q/ris 3000 electronic health record (EHR) to accommodate the need to automate and manage their Mammo Club operations.
The AMI Mammo Club was designed to keep their patients continually updated on their health and generally informed of women’s health issues. Begun in 2007, Advanced Medical Imaging had been manually entering and manually tracking over 3,500 active member’s profiles. medQ Inc. worked with AMI to customize the front end of their Q/ris 3000 EHR to accommodate their need to enroll and track the patients in the AMI Mammo Club. In addition, medQ created a series of reports on members and their emails so AMI can send out member-specific newsletters.
Advanced Medical Imaging has integrated this club into the daily mammography imaging workflow. “Enrollment is done at registration. The patient is offered a 12-month membership punch card they can bring in for a monthly gift. The gift acts as a reminder to perform self-examination and spread breast health awareness,” said Georgia Blobaum, AMI chief operations officer. The monthly gift also serves an added benefit for patients who choose AMI for future mammograms and allows AMI to cross-market their other services. Each month, AMI downloads an up-to-date member e-mail list and sends a newsletter with the upcoming month’s gift information and an update on current women’s health issues.
AMI is the largest independent radiology group in Nebraska. AMI Radiologists serve as the sole radiology providers for their imaging center in Lincoln, nearly half of the Critical Access Hospitals in rural Nebraska, and two regional health centers: St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln and Mercy Medical Center of Sioux City, IA.
