Trio of new modules provide capabilities to stream images and DICOM video, automatically submit reports for Joint Commission compliance

RamSoft, PowerServer Cloud PACS, HIMSS17

March 3, 2017 — RamSoft its 100 percent web-based PowerServer Cloud PACS (picture archiving and communication system) at the 2017 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Conference and Exhibition (HIMSS 2017), Feb. 19-23 in Orlando, Fla.

The company said PowerServer Cloud PACS successfully achieves two things that most vendors are unable to provide simultaneously: efficiency and significant cost savings without sacrificing quality. Built on cutting-edge, single database technology, the PowerServer Cloud PACS reduces redundant work and data errors, and increases consistency throughout healthcare facilities. Its single database system also allows RamSoft to eliminate the extra cost of multiple user licenses that other vendors require; thus enabling them to offer an unlimited amount of user, modality and facility licenses at no extra cost because of it.

The PowerServer Cloud PACS is also equipped with three new modules that were showcased at HIMSS17:

  • The first is a DICOM video solution, which works a lot like Netflix in that it streams DICOM videos to any device through RamSoft’s software;
  • Next is Peer Review, which helps users comply with Joint Commission Requirements by enabling radiologists to easily score a prior report and automatically submit it to the American College of Radiology’s (ACR’s) RADPEER; and
  • The most significant new module is their Remote Rendering solution. It enables users to stream images to the reading platform, eliminating the need to download large datasets such as tomosynthesis data to the hard drive. This significantly improves efficiency and reduces the response time from click to display, according to RamSoft.
