Toshiba Medical, Xario 200 Platinum Series ultrasound, RSNA 2016, SMI

January 3, 2017 — Toshiba Medical introduced the Xario 200 Platinum Series ultrasound system at the 2016 annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Nov. 27-Dec. 1 in Chicago. The Platinum Series combines the clinical benefits of high-end ultrasound technology with user-friendly features in a small footprint. The compact premium ultrasound system enhances workflow and patient care with intuitive user ergonomics and high-quality imaging for fast and confident diagnosis in a variety of radiology, obstetric and cardiovascular exams.

The Xario 200 Platinum Series builds upon the Xario 200 platform and features Toshiba Medical’s advanced ultrasound technologies for depth and detail. This includes technologies like Precision Imaging, Differential Tissue Harmonics (D-THI) and Advanced Dynamic Flow (ADF). The new system comes with the added visualization benefits of Toshiba’s Superb Micro-vascular Imaging (SMI), which provides superior visualization of low velocity microvascular flow. By enabling physicians to see the most clinical information possible, the Xario 200 Platinum Series allows for early, confident diagnoses that can help improve clinical outcomes. The system also offers enhanced performance and workflow features, including a customizable panel and touch command screen, and one-button optimization and clinical parameter setting with Toshiba Medical’s Quick Scan and Quick Start technologies.
