October 30, 2015 — To provide the best possible patient experience with superb image quality, Indiana University Health Goshen Hospital installed the Vantage Titan 1.5T magnetic resonance (MR) system from Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. Goshen is a part of Indiana’s largest integrated delivery network (IDN) and is utilizing the system in the hospital to support its heart and vascular center to improve patient outcomes with high-quality imaging and a comprehensive suite of patient-focused technologies.
“The Titan’s patient-friendly features, including its noise reduction capability, large open bore and non-contrast techniques have increased our patient satisfaction and safety,” said Melody Ernsberger, director, imaging services, IU Health Goshen Hospital. “For instance, these features have allowed us to decrease sedation and the need for contrast in certain procedures. The Titan 1.5T also fit our business needs, as the feature-rich system included everything we needed without having to pay extra for additional technologies.”
Toshiba’s Titan 1.5T MR offers numerous patient-focused features, including a 71 cm open bore that reduces patient anxiety related to claustrophobia. The Pianissimo noise-reduction technology improves the MR experience by significantly reducing MR acoustic noise, while advanced non-contrast techniques makes imaging safer for patients.
