Flat panel detector ideal for emergency rooms, critical care units

AeroDR XE, Latin America, Konica Minolta, DR, flat panel detector

March 17, 2015 — In response to increased demand for cost-effective, highly reliable and easy-to-use digital radiography solutions across Latin America, Konica Minolta Medical Imaging introduced the AeroDR XE wireless flat panel detector to the region. The device is indicated for emergency rooms and critical care units, where patient care decisions need to be made quickly and confidently.

The AeroDR XE is a lightweight digital radiography (DR) Panel, designed to provide high reliability and high-capacity imaging in extreme “on the go” environments. It is also ideal for teaching hospitals, portable use and at the bedside. AeroDR XE fits existing X-ray room equipment, helping facilities preserve their imaging investment and maintain economic value.

Built to endure the rigors of extreme imaging environments outside the radiology department, the AeroDR XE combines a robust wireless DR panel with a simple yet powerful software interface. As a result, users benefit from high weight-to-load ratio – up to 661 lbs – and high bend and liquid resistance. Weighing only 5.7 lbs, the AeroDR XE is the lightest panel on the market and easiest to handle.

High-performance detective quantum efficiency (DQE) enables high-resolution images with dose efficiency that provides the information clinicians need in fast-paced environments. Additionally, the improved lithium ion capacitor now lasts a full shift or 300 images. Grip strips help technologists handle the panel while new panel drop sensors and monitoring provide ongoing data on panel handling to help avoid catastrophic failures, reduce repair costs and provide worry-free operation.
