ResolutionMD Receives Class II Certification in Japan

March 13, 2015 — Calgary Scientific Inc. announced that its ResolutionMD medical imaging software has received Class II certification from the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) in Japan. The application was certified for diagnosis using both Web and mobile devices for all imaging modalities. This certification enables medical practitioners to take advantage of quick, mobile access to images as they can now access a range of image storage systems and diagnostic tool sets from any location.

Healthcare organizations in Japan can now use ResolutionMD, an enterprise image-viewing solution, to perform a clinical diagnosis using Web, iOS or Android devices. The PMDA certificate follows the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Class II clearance in the United States, China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) certification in China, CE marking in Europe, Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) certificate in Australia and Health Canada license.
