December 19, 2014 — Attendees at RSNA 2014 had the opportunity to see Rayence’s new universal digital radiography system, the RU-3000. The RU-3000 is the first U-arm system to be marketed by Rayence in the United States. Its small footprint and compact design allows for easy installation, and its dual telescoping arm movement permits installation in settings with ceiling heights of just 8 feet.
The Rayence RU-3000 has fully motorized movements for SID, arm rotation, height and detector angle, which can be automatically programmed to user-specific radiographic positions by either the intuitive touch-screen located on the tube head or by a hand held remote control. The system comes with a high quality Rayence 17x17 inch cesium detector which is coupled with Rayence’s XmaruView workstation and newly enhanced software. Complemented by a durable Bucky design with an easily removable grid, patient safety anti-collision sensors and an available mobile table, the RU-3000 is well-suited for all imaging environments, especially orthopedics, imaging centers and urgent care.
The Rayence RU-3000 digital radiography system is undergoing submittal for U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510K Clearance and is expected to be available for sale by mid-2015.
