Products provide range of settings, applications and digital to conventional film-based imaging

December 11, 2014 — Quantum Medical Imaging released the re-designed Odyssey and Quest High Frequency (HF) X-ray generators. Both products were on display at RSNA 2014.

The Odyssey and Quest with push button console are designed for both digital and conventional radiographic imaging, operating at a potential of up to 120 kHz, for highly efficient X-ray production. The Odyssey HF Series of generators provide output power level options from 80 kW to 32 kW and up to 150 kVp, while the Quest HF Series of generators provide output power level options from 50 kW to 20 kW and up to 150 kVp, meeting the needs of any imaging environment.  In addition, a stored energy option is available for facilities with limited incoming power, or for mobile vehicle applications.

These newly redesigned generators feature an operator control panel utilizing a high-resolution LED-backlit LCD display.  This menu-driven display (Odyssey includes a graphical body model and the Quest provides text) is simple to use and allows the technologist to concentrate on the safety and comfort of the patient, while providing excellent reliability and image quality. These generators also have a help service software for a laptop to assist you with calibration, configuration and APR editor.

Both products optimize radiographic imaging through simple programmability, which permits a wide variety of routine, specialized and custom procedures.
