August 18, 2014 — Shimadzu Medical Systems USA’s MobileDaRt Evolution mobile digital radiography (DR) system has been named the Category Leader in its product category by market research firm KLAS for three out of the last four years. It received this accolade in the "2014 Best in KLAS Awards: Medical Equipment & Infrastructure" report from market research firm KLAS Research of Orem, Utah.
The MobileDaRt Evolution was named the number one mobile X-ray system by KLAS starting in 2011. This feature-filled, easy to use and exceptionally maneuverable modality is the highest performance system in the company's product portfolio.
It can be used with one Canon flat panel detector (FPD), a standard 14-inch x 17-inch to acquire large fields of view. It can also be configured with an optional second 9-inch x 11-inch flat panel detector for pediatric use. The compact low dose cesium iodide FPD is especially suitable when imaging newborns and infants and babies in incubators. The MobileDaRt Evolution is designed for easy maneuverability within narrow, restricted spaces. This is facilitated by an ultra-long rotatable arm and an "inch mover" button to optimize positioning easily for a radiologic technologist.
This year's award for the MobileDaRt Evolution makes it the "Category Leader" from KLAS for the digital X-ray — mobile segment three out of the last four years, and the Shimadzu RADspeed DR radiographic table system five out of six years in the digital X-ray category (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2014)
